Vote #44 Robyn Fennig for 2010 Callahan MVP
Since her sophomore year at UW-Eau Claire, Robyn has fully dedicated herself to the sport of ultimate. As both a captain and player for SOL, she has worked hard to help the team's goal of making it to nationals for the first time this year. Robyn's contribution to this team is marked by her tremendous leadership, motivation, and sick custom stencils. Not only that, but she's constantly laying out, making crazy grabs, and her skying skills do not discriminate. She puts her all into both the team and her time on the field. A Callahan MVP award would make her senior SOL exit a great close to an awesome run of college ultimate.

It's Voting Time Ladies

Vote #7 Melissa "Brownie" Brown for Freshman of the Year

As a first year ultimate player, Brownie has rocked the SOL scene with her awesome defense and sick grabs. She stands out as a future handler with her left-handed powerhouse throws. Brownie may look innocent at first glance, but don't let her fool you! As a team player, Brownie is always at practice working hard and supporting her fellow SOLmates. Let's welcome Brownie onto the ultimate scene by voting her for FOTY.

Skyfest Twenty-Ten

It's been a while, and I bet you are all saddened by the hiatus of the SOL blog. Fear not avid fanatic, the dry spell has ended...as I now have internet, and a job that needs time to be filled from time to time.

Highlights from SOL's winter break included....
-Marfie's 22 birfday @ 80's night at the Shout House in the Cities
-Squared's 22nd birthday
-Whit going on a cruise
-Anna deciding where she is going to get married
-Me (Robyn) getting trapped behind (one of these) while trying to rearrange Gapstur's room
-Brit commentating her little brother's basketball game
-An epic trip to Ames, Iowa (ISU)
-George getting extremely sick on a bus at 2 am
-Estelle losing her blonde-ness on MLK
-Kathleen serving on jury duty
-Jess getting lost in Door County
-Dace heading out west to San Fran and San Diego
-Emy raiding a burned down building
-Mariah's crazy grandma
All these, among other things.

With that being said and done, in addition to the plethora of items listed above, SOL worked hard over break to jump start our spring 2010 season. Last night, we officially kicked off twenty-ten with a great practice in Zorn Arena, followed by 6,048 stairs ran last night (that's 504 per person). You can double that number if you count going down too.

We're working hard to get some bank this season.

Bomb-tastic.
